ずいぶん昔に購入したエディフィス別注のチーニー。
実はここ数年まったく履いてませんでした。
失礼な話しなのですが、最初から雨の日に結構履いてしまったのですがソールもアッパーもかなりボロボロにすぐになってしまい、（見た目がです。） なんとなく履かなくなって箱におさまってしまい、、箱に入ったが最後、、、ローテから外れ、増え続けるニューフェースに押され私の記憶から遠ざかり、、、つつあったのですが、先日シュークローゼットの中から、再発見されました。
また、チーニー君は運がいいことに、私がフランス靴、イタリア靴熱がもっとも熱かった時ならば、ヘタをすれば弟行きに（私と弟は靴のサイズが同じなので、私が購入して失敗したなぁ、、と思った靴は数回履いて弟にお下がりというのが通例となっているのです。。）なっていたところですが、先日、シューデザイナーの坪内さんとお話しし、イギリス靴もまたひさしぶりにいいな。。と思っていた矢先だったのです。
よし、、改造してもう一度履いてみよう！
というわけで、チーニー君には、業界有数の職人さんたちの手を借りて私好みに変貌してもらうというプロジェクトを始めることにします。
まずは、オールソールをはじめとして、ダメパーツをユニオンワークスさんで徹底的に入れ替えします。
そして雨染みだらけのアッパーは、ブリフトアッシュで、再カラーリングし、アンティーク仕上げで別人になってもらいましょう。
私は、このチーニーという靴。スタイルは結構好きな形だったのに、作りや革の質に一抹の疑問をもっていてあまり履かなくなってしまったのですが、この際なのでいろいろいじくってみたいと思います。
ベルルッティのアレッサンドロをユニオンワークスに持って行ったので同じくチーニーもオールソールからやってもらうことにしました。
ソールはあえてのダイナイトソールです。
最近、グッドイヤーの靴をかなりダイナイトにしてます。 ペルフェット、オーツカ、ロイドフットウェアとこのチーニーで4足目です。
ダイナイトは雨の日に気にせず履けるという点と、そのソールの薄さでディティール、履き心地がレザーとあまり変わらないところがよいです。
ユニオンワークスさんでのダイナイト化は15,750円。
さて、まずはぐっちゃぐちゃのソールをダイナイトソールで実用化してもらい、次はブリフトアッシュに持ち込むことにしましょう。
